On October 20, 2026, in Lucca, Italy, Akeron presented the agentic evolution of Tarko, its software for project-based companies. The platform has been redesigned so that people and AI agents work together on the same processes, in a governed environment and on certified data. The goal is to increase organizations\u2019 productive capacity and free up resources to reinvest in growth.<\/p>\n

Re-evolution: a change in operating model<\/h3>\n

With Re-evolution, the theme of the launch, Akeron points to a change in the way people work, even before a change in technology. Artificial intelligence takes part in executing tasks and in decision-making, and people gain time for higher-value work.<\/p>\n

The management view: AI\u2019s value is the potential it unlocks<\/h3>\n

\u201cFor thirty years, enterprise software has recorded the business. Today it can reason and act alongside people, profoundly changing the way we create value<\/i>,\u201d said Manuel Vellutini, Co-CEO of Akeron<\/strong>. \u201cThe right question isn\u2019t how much an AI agent costs, but how much potential it can unlock. That means increasing productive capacity, making the most of people\u2019s skills and freeing up resources to reinvest in growth. The real value of AI isn\u2019t just doing the same things more efficiently, but making possible what wasn\u2019t possible before<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Marco Pierallini, Co-CEO of Akeron<\/strong>, \u201cour core technology choice was to use AI where it adds value, and only there<\/i>.\u201d The choice of language model also remains with the customer: \u201cThe architecture is open to multiple LLMs and brings Tarko data into the AI assistants and work tools people already use, all the way to WhatsApp, with the same permissions and the same traceability. That is what makes an agentic platform reliable and governable, even as agents work with greater autonomy<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n

What Tarko\u2019s agentic evolution is built on<\/h3>\n

The evolution rests on two foundations. The first is an architecture in which agents operate within processes under the same rules, permissions and traceability as people. The second is a data model that captures twenty years of experience with real-world projects. Tarko User Day in Lucca<\/h3>\n

The launch took place at the Complesso di San Francesco in Lucca during Tarko User Day \u201cRe-evolution.\u201d Some 150 Akeron customers attended, along with experts and representatives of the software industry, including Assosoftware and the Project Management Institute Central Italy Chapter, as well as the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca.
