Pierluigi Pierallini has received the 2025 Innovation and Competitiveness Award

On November 26, the San Romano Auditorium (Lucca, Italy) hosted the 2025 Innovation and Competitiveness Award ceremony. This year, the award was presented to Pierluigi Pierallini, founder of Tagetik and Akeron. The award celebrates Pierallini’s entrepreneurial journey, which began in Lucca and has become a benchmark for the software sector worldwide.

Promoted by Clip Comunicare and supported by the Municipality of Lucca, the event was attended by local institutions, Mayor Mario Pardini, and representatives from the economic and academic sectors. Many young people from the area were also in attendance. A video story and a dialogue led by Aldo Aderigi introduced Pierallini’s career, retracing the key steps of a career built on the ability to transform knowledge into technology.

Mayor Pardini noted that Pierallini has combined entrepreneurial vision, technical expertise, and a spirit of innovation by founding companies that provide advanced digital tools to thousands of businesses. Pierallini is an innovator who speaks to the world from Lucca.

Pierallini accepted the award with words reflecting his approach as a humanist engineer: “This award is the result of a shared vision. Every idea took shape thanks to people and young people who, with their curiosity and dedication, built the future with me. In a world where innovation is often confused with speed, our secret has been the art of simplicity: combining dreams and reality without ever losing sight of the deeper meaning of what we do.”

Akeron proudly celebrates this award, which pays tribute to an entrepreneurial journey and a model of innovation that maintains a constant link with the local area and promotes generations of young tale
